Krups coffeemakers and espresso machines
This widely known brand originates from Germany and is famous for manufacturing coffee machines and various other kitchen appliances. This company was founded by Robert Krups back in the 19th century, in 1846, as stated on the Krups official website. After some of Robert's children took over the company twenty years later, Krups rapidly made progress and began exporting their products to neighboring European countries such as Switzerland and Holland. At the turn of the century, Krups were considered to be one of the leading German firms famous for selling high perfection products. The second world war may have brought some major setbacks to the company but, Krups made a rapid recovery to re-establish its empire.Surprisingly it was not until 1956, 110 years after the company was founded, that Krups' first electrical coffee grinder was available in the market. The launch was considered successful, with the company selling around a million of these coffee grinders within the first year of manufacture. Within a few years, Krups once again became a household brandname known for manufacturing quality kitchen products with cutting edge technology. Around the same time Krups also launched ONKO (T8) coffee makers, which are still available to buy under reference "F468" in the Krups catalog.
With increasing demand for coffee related products, in the early 1980s, Krups launched their first espresso maker along with a variety of technologically advanced coffee making machines such as programmable coffee makers, steam machines and coffee and espresso combo machines.
With over 3000 workers, Krups had strengthened its manufacturing muscles around the same time when Germany was Europe's economic powerhouse in the 90s.
Krups coffeemakers are well known for their quality and performance and are available in many parts of the world. They are also known, although to a limited extent, for their espresso machines.
